Bertrand Mukete, M.D.
Bertrand Mukete, M.D. specializes in Interventional Cardiology and also has extensive training in preventive cardiology. Dr. Mukete completed his Interventional Cardiology training at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City and Cardiovascular Disease training at Tulane Heart and Vascular Institute, New Orleans, LA. He is one of the few Interventional Cardiologists in the country who holds a diploma in Lipidology by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, as well as a diploma as a Clinical Hypertension Specialist by the American Society of Hypertension. His clinic focuses on the management of resistant hypertension/cardiovascular disease, peripheral arterial and venous disease, and complex lipid disorders.
He has published numerous first author papers in highly respected peer review journals in the disciple of Interventional Cardiology, Hypertension, Heart failure and basic sciences. Dr. Mukete received the Albert L. Hyman Cardiovascular Disease Fellow of the Year Award. He continues to be involved in academia and works very closely with the training of residents. He is also Board Certified in General Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology and Board eligible for Interventional Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Hypertension and lifetime member of the National Lipid Association.
